Dell XPS 13

Laptops are now part of everyone's daily life, from high school students to grandma and grandpa. Choosing a laptop is a nightmare: so many brands to choose from, and so many choices within each brand from processor speed to disk storage.

Choosing a laptop is hard, but I don't think you can go too far wrong with a Dell, and especially the XPS series of laptops. I am going to talk particularly about the Dell XPS 13, and where best to puchase a Dell XPS 13 in Australia.

Dell XPS 13 Review

I've been a fan of XPS laptops since the late 2000's as they are a great reliable and stylish laptop that I rely on for both work and, well, Netflix! We've had a Dell XPS 13 9360 in the house for a while, and I've used the Dell XPS 13 9370 too - a friend at work had one.

I am now looking to upgrade to the 2019 model, the Dell XPS 13 9380, so I went to try one out. I am usually a fussy one, but I really couldn't find anything I hated about the 9380. Maybe the palm rest is a bit low-end, and maybe the light shining through from the back of the screen through the keyboard is abit weird, but hey this is real nitpicking.

Let's talk about what really matters for an Australian using a Dell XPS 13.

Battery Life

Battery life is of course very important. Professionals will appreciate battery life when on the train or plane and they have no opportunity to charge it, and parents will appreciated still being able to use their laptop after a few hours of the kids taking over and watching kids stuff on Youtube. Well lets see what the XPS has to offer there. Good job that the XPS 13 9380 battery life can last longer than I can without a recharge - a whopping 21 hours!

You'll want to make the XPS 13 9380 will be joint to your hip when you realise it weighs just 1.23kg. Less than your milk. This makes it ideal as a take anywhere laptop, giving you new opportunties to use it. For example being so light, you might keep it in your handbag or manbag. Waiting for a bus you could reply to a few emails.

Computing Power

It's got the latest Intel Quad Core Processors, and it is designed to be quiet and cool at the same time. You won't have to worry about the computer beign sluggish when working on Powerpoint or Excel, or browsing the web. Memory come in up to 16GB allowing you to run many applications at the same time.
