This Manor House on Bealey Ave is an absolute treat and wonderful experience. We are locals and were thrilled when this grand dame was brought back to life. We stayed in one of the beautiful rooms upstairs, played chess in the lounge over a glass of wine, and dined at one of the nearby restaurants in Victoria Street. We then had breakfast in the dining room. I recommend this to all my friends and visitors to Christchurch. (from Tripadvisor)
This is a beautiful old house, with a central staircase built of kauri wood and huge rooms. My wife reported that the bed was the best of our trip so far! As was the muesli at breakfast. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel is located not far from the city centre. A fantastic place to stay! (from Tripadvisor)
We stayed here overnight on a trip to Christchurch and we were the only people there! The building itself is very impressive and the room was warm, comfortable and quiet with no street noise. The shower was excellent too. (from Tripadvisor)
